The WT conference will be back in town on February 7th, 2011 in line with ispo 11 in Munich.

Once again, the year will start with the WT conference in Munich, where international speakers present their latest developments and future opportunities within the field of Wearable Technologies.
Wearable Technologies refer to garments with built-in electronics or electronic devices and to new materials that enable functions far beyond conventional ranges of applications.

The pioneering conference builds a bridge between the fashion and high-tech industry and focuses on decision makers and experts from commerce, production and science, in particular from the fields of sports, fashion, electronics and consumer electronics. Moreover, this unique event is aimed at encouraging a dialog between the respective industries and at uniting new user groups, such as the electronics and communications industry, with the textile industry. It also shows in which way a combination of sports, fashion and lifestyle with current trends of the electronics industry can create an added value for clients and how this combination can increase the turnover potential on both sides.

Amongst the high-profile speakers are Thomas Nindl from Qualcomm CDMA Technologies GmbH who will talk about the influence of wearable medical devices for sports, fitness and wellness applications, or Dan Eisenhardt from Recon Instruments presenting their revolutionary goggles with the transcend system. Another highlight will certainly be the presentation of Ulrike Köhler from Nike Deutschland GmbH who will give deep insights into the success story of Nike+. The tension continues when Dr. Martin Krebs from VARTA Microbattery GmbH introduces their power supply solutions for smart textiles.
A further highlight will be the official announcement of the finalists of the Bluetooth Innovation World Cup 2010, who will be introduced by Mike Foley from Bluetooth SIG.

Following the presentation of the finalists will visit ispo 11 together. After the official award ceremony of the Bluetooth Innovation World Cup 2010, all participants will be invited to join the ispo Outdoor Party to enjoy a rich buffet and drinks with good music and atmosphere.
